Pupterfuge is when your dog lies to cover up something else. For example, when he comes over and pretends like he just wants snuggles, but really he’s just doing it to get close enough to lick your ice cream bowl.
Dooby Doo pretended he loved me, but clearly it was only a pupterfuge to gain proximity to my ice cream bowl. P
