Monolithing

To inappropriately treat a group of people as a hivemind or sharing the responsibility, opinions, effects, etc. that are not rightfully applied to the group as a generalization.

"Chewing gum collectors want more public services, but somehow also want to cut taxes. Make it make sense."

"You're monolithing, bro. some chewing gum collectors believe one thing, and some believe the other."
