House Elf 

1) An elf from the Harry Potter series that has to obey its master and do whatever is asked of it. It can only become free if master presents it with clothes. (Some house elves work in the Hogwarts school kitchens.)

2) Someone who listens to everything that his parents tell him to do, even bogus things like ironing a bunch of clothes, vaccuming a car he doesn't drive, fixing vegetables, etc. Some house elves have cell phones that go off at random times, always from the parent asking him to do a task, and because of his house elf nature he is forced to obey.

"Dobby had to obey Lucius Malfoy because he was his house elf"

"Why does Johnny always iron the clothes, vaccum, and fix the vegetables when he could just refuse? He's such a house elf!!"

House Elf 

House Elves are from Britain, but are common wherever Fairy Folk are known to live. Virtually every house has one. They tend to live in broom closets. House Elves are very helpful, unlike pixies and imps which tend to be more tricksey. House Elves will aid in any household tasks. Of course, they are very sneaky and you will probably never see them.

Guy: "That's odd, I don't remember hanging my jacket up..."
Girl: "Must have been the House Elf"

Someone who obeys people of higher authority without question or concern for what is right or wrong. This person usually hangs around the authority figure trying to please them at any cost.

The only acknowledged house elf from harry potter...which is ME ME ME..only me...i want to take over the world...muchachacha...which is I chloe the one and only house elf in the world...her enemy is Gollam....from Lord of The Rings...

The Fear of disobeying someone only way to be cured it so be given some clothing in a book

Mum: "sweetie clean up!"
Child: "ok..."
Child: "dang it, she knows I have Houseelfsyndrome"
Child: "N-N MUUUU NO MUM I WON'T !" *chokes on word
