All of these definitions are blatantly wrong and/or barely scratch the surface of what grindcore metal is. I recommend checking out wikipedia if you're really interested.

Hardcore-metal, characterized by intense screaming, extreme speed and grinding double bass pedals/drums (whereas if the music being played is too fast for an actual drummer, a programmable drum machine will be used).

The Locust: spaz grindcore
Dillenger Escape PLan: gnarly jazz grindcore

Every Time I Die: you can actually understand this music
The Blood Brothers: hmm the sound of men screaming like girls grindcore ( very awesome stuff)

Music played way too fast for suitable listening with inaudiable screams and the occasional synthisizer or keyboard. Ex. The Locust, An Albatross, Daughers, Love Like...Electrocution!, Anal Cunt, Cattle Decapitation, Some Girls, Crimson Curse, Swing Kids, Orchid, Arab on Radar, Great Redneck Hope, Discordance Axis and, if you want to go out on a limb, the Blood Brothers

Death metal with a different name. people do not realize that it's the same thing because the usual audience of gridcore does not think "Death metal" supports anything they believe in. In fact the only difference i can understand between death metal and grindcore is grindcore is sped up. i.e. speed up a pantera track and you got yourself grindcore.

the new-school cousin of death, grind core serves its skate punk audience up with a metallic break from the Sex Pistols. grind your trucks the skate board's axel. hardcore.

A seemingly pointless, and totally stupid variation on the term "GRINDCORE".
Apparently Metal fans would like to forget/deny Grindcore's connection to the Hardcore Punk scene of the 80's all together by needlessly tacking on the word "METAL".
Grindcore is Grindcore, period... There's no denying it's Thrash Metal connections, but "Grindcore Metal" is just stupid. "Death Grind" seems much more appropriate than the needlessly-long "Grindcore Metal" title, which doesn't even make sense...
Metal snobs, stop trying to hijack Grindcore!

GRINDCORE: Mid-to-late-80's Napalm Death, most Agathocles, early Carcass, Warsore and so on.
Grindcore Metal: Uhhh.... ????????? I dunno, Dying Fetus? They aren't bad, but they're considered "Death Grind"... What the f**k is "Grindcore Metal"?
