FDS or film director syndrome is a situation when a film director can't help but ruin a series or franchise with various method ranging from nudity, politicising, drastic character changes, unnecessary character creation, disrespect for a franchise or even just the inability to end a series. (commonly affiliated with novel adaptations and games companies like EA may also fall into FDS)

Film directors/creators hate or not satisfied with their final products after hundreds of hours of production, while everyone else loves it. In truth, they are more sick of it than anything else.
