The way in which idiots pronounce the word crayon, forgetting that there is a y and an o in the word. Most often found in areas in which inbreeding is prevalent.
Joe: Hey Chris, what's that you've got shoved up your ass there?
Chris: Oh, it's a yellow-green cran.
Joe: Don't you mean crayon?
Chris: No.
Chris: Oh, it's a yellow-green cran.
Joe: Don't you mean crayon?
Chris: No.

A large STATIONARY version or a crane. Typically built as a girder construction but modern version use a box section type arrangement. Found at dock sites and areas where constant heavy lifting is required from it to a vehicle.
Derek is up that Finniston Cran. It’s hasn’t been used for decades but was used to unload ships. I think he had a party in the control room and there is a death slide across the Clyde incase the screws show up.
