1) A decent school in
Florida, a state which inflates its high school GPAs for the benefit of college ranking.
2) A place where students who have never left the state of
Florida for some reason think their degrees are of the same merit as degrees from universities like UCLA, UC Berkeley, Stanford, Dartmouth, Yale, Harvard, Fordham, Virginia, etc., etc., etc...
3) The home of the Gator Nation.
"I've never left
Florida, so as far as I'm concerned, UF is the best school in the U.S.A., or the world for that matter."
"Where did you attend school?"
"Ivy-League"
"Really? I graduated from Columbia!. Where are you from?"
"University of
Florida. Go gators; the south
will rise again."
By the way, UF is ***NOT*** listed as "public ivy" either.
