Sheila's Rule

A fairly simple rule, generally used in domestic situations, which dictates that when you vacate your seat, you have no automatic right to sit back there when you return. Once empty, a seat is open to anybody to sit in, irrespective of the circumstances that caused the previous occupant to vacate it.
Person A - "Excuse me, I was sitting there!"
Person B - "Sheila's rule -sorry"
