“Shadow ghosting” means you’re suspecting an individual fraudulently impersonating in the state of “ghosting” your friendship or your relationship or your personal or previous association with the individual but in the shadow of the genuine individual but it’s illegal because it’s considered identity, theft and fraud because the individual has illegally obtained ownership of their online or digital accounts and they will not tell you if you’re actually the genuine individual that you are talking too that you have previously associated yourself with in the past or even in the present

Since the pandemic, my close friend has stopped talking to me and removed me off social media. I tried reaching out to my friend, but they won’t reply to my messages, but I’ve been able to confirm with read receipts. They were able to read them. They continue to read my messages, but they don’t respond to them. After a considerable period of time I have not been able to confirm their genuine existence due to a lack of genuine responses, which includes catching up face-to-face so I assumed this individual has been shadow ghosting

murderhobo

In a tabletop game, a murderhobo is a player who murders NPCs indiscriminately. This is normally derogatory, referring to a player who totally ignores quests, dialog, backstory, trade, world building etc.

The term is most common with Dungeons and Dragons, but it can be applied to most RPGs where the player is allowed to kill most quest-giving NPCs and NPC traders. E.g. Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Divinity original sin.

DM: The sad little orphan girl tugs at Steve's trenchcoat to get his attention, and ask for help saving her pet dog from...
Steve: I'd like to roll a strength check against strangling the orphan.
Dave: I call dibs on the dog.
DM: You murderhobos disgust me.
