The Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Awards were created by David Colton and Kerry Gammill at the Classic Horror Film Boards in 2002. Unlike other awards which are commercially sponsored and selected by a jury of officials, the Rondo Awards turn voting to the fans and horror community. With categories covering productions, comics, websites, blogs, magazines, articles, and DVD releases the Rondo Awards cover all forms of horror media.

To vote, horror fans simply need to go to the Rondo Awards website , select their favorites from each category, and email them along with their name to David Colton. Full details, lists of past winners and this years ballot are available at rondoaward.com .

"The Rondo Awards are like the Oscars except the back stabbing is done on screen and the only people in fancy suits are those accepting the award posthumously."
