Someone who rates them self very highly. Has a very high opinion of them self, their appearance, their possessions, their neighborhood etc. A bit of a snob.

Boy: There's Paul. Hey, doesn't he live in Cheongdam, that really rich area of Seoul?
Girl: Yes. Like he could ever let us forget it.
Argh....he's such a rater!

People who specifically downrate something to 1 star, just to get the person's rating to drop down to a lower rank.(i.e. webpage, upload, etc.)

Example 1: That guy is a total rater hater! My upload was 5 stars and now it's only 4. That loser must of rated it 1 star!

Example 2: Damn, you got rated hated by someone.

Someone who consistently rates all the songs he/she's listening to in itunes, winamp, or any other device that will let you rate songs. As a result, a music rater often has amazing playlists.

- I was chilling with my boyfriend, listening to some music, and suddenly he got up, saying he had to give that Britney Spears' song 5 stars.
- He is such a song rater!
- Yeah, and with very bad taste. I had to dump him.
