People Of Play

-Noun
Used to describe a diverse section of society who regularly engages in the act of playing video games or participates in the gaming community.

Adopted after many instances governments and journalists utilising the noun "Gamer" as a derogatory slur. Sick of being persecuted for the actions of a radical few, the community stopped using the term in an attempt to reduce their hard felt oppression.
"So you and your wife a G****s? "
"Oof, we aren't really comfortable with the "G-word", we prefer People of Play"
