Partisanism

One of two things that George Washington warned us about before retiring and everyone completely ignored him instantly. Few people realize that George Washington warned America not to form political parties, only nobody listened and here we are, lost in perpetual gridlock.

He also warned us about forming permanent alliances with foreign countries(e.g. NATO and UN).
Worker #1:"Hey, you registered as a Democrat or Republican?"

Worker #2:"Neither. I'm registered as an independent. Partisanism has to be the worst idea since the electoral college."

Partisanism

Like racism except that the person assumes something about someone due to their political beliefs instead of race. Someone who does this would be a partisanist.
Republicans who assume all Democrats support Obama's policies are guilty of partisanism.

Martin Partinism

A Religion started on a comic website in the Garfield section, it was probably created by a random Gen-Z guy, but nobody really understands it because half the commenters on the website are boomers.
Fred: Some weirdo created "Martin Partinism" where a random guy named Martin Partin is the supreme divine being of the universe.
Bill: Wow! That's the most sane thing i've ever heard about that website in years!

partisansexship

The ability of Democrats and Republicans to see the other party's sexual trysts as morally reprehensible while excusing their own party's sex scandals.
Every Republican points to Former Democrat President Bill Clinton's sex scandal with Monica Lewinsky and bemoans the fact he should have been impeached and removed from office, while noting or overlooking that Republicans Newt Gingrich, David Vitter, Mark Sanford, John Ensign and Larry Craig among others were or are entitled to finish their terms in office while their sex scandals are excused. This partisansexship remains an on-going dichotomy not easily explained by rational thinking human beings.

partisanize

To make every disagreement about anything a partisan matter.
When I pointed out that giving an enormous tax break to the uber-wealthy obviously would promote even greater inequality than currently existed, he accused me of trying to partisanize the issue.

negative partisanship

Two parties looking separately but using a tactic of making one candidate appear like a poor choice in comparison to their opponent, making modern democracy appear legitimate.
Biden aids in the appearance of Trump as a correct choice as president for 2024, when it’s been the decision all along. All because of the beguile of negative partisanship.
