Original Character

A character in a major franchise created by a fan of something, and self inserted into that franchise usually via art and fanfics.

Usually due to the fact that the designs end up being so close to the source media, they end up looking almost like the original, and a ton of OCs are just traces/recolors of offical artwork for the source franchise.

Many of them also happen to be Mary Sues with self insert fanfics and copy/paste backstories.

The creators of them are also known for being very egotistical about them, going as far as putting copyrights on them, telling others not to steal their (possibly stolen anyway) character, and even abusing the report systems at various sites just to be sure nobody will steal their OC.

They exist for almost any franchise, they can exist in everything from Sonic to Pokemon to Naruto to even South Park!

With some franchises, such as Sonic or MLP, there are even OC generators that people will use to generate OCs and put them up on sites like DeviantArt as "art".

Original Character

An excuse to make horrible fan art and parade it around like it's the best in the entire world.

Others will go to great lengths to outdo the person that claimed theirs. It eventually turns into a Vicious cycle with people coming from different forums/places to outdo everyone else. The ending is decided by who steps away and accepts defeat first. Which almost never happens.
Brad: Hey! Look at my SUPER AWESOME 1337PWNAGE MLP Original character! I call her Asmorphilus and she's--

*Both proceed to fight and argue like kids over which is better*

original character do not steal

An oc that is usually made by a child in a cringy fandom. This character is usually a recolour or incredibly similar to an already existing character in said fandom
My little sister made a character the other day, and it's totally an original character do not steal.

Original Charachter

An original charachter, also known as "OC", is a charachter that one has made up that stands different from other creations. This charachter may be inspired by various things in one's life. Some oc's are even improved past "imaginary friends" that the person had recovered old pictures of. The way to create your own oc, another way, is simply to think of a creature that nobody has thought of yet. The key to originality to to make something unique, while still maintaning charisma, and make the looks appealing to you. Once you have their look, create, for them, a personality. There is alot of people in this world, so if you happen to come across another oc with a look similar to yours, it's ok. Great minds think alike, right? At times when you feel lonely, that "imaginary friend" thing may come back to you, and you may start to form your charachter's personality by imagining what they would do in reality. They are apart of you, since you created them. If people bash your charachter, then they're bashing you, you're creative mind. And that is something that shows who your real friends are.
Boy: "Hey, Michelle, what are you drawing?"
Girl: "I'm drawing an original charachter."
Boy: "He looks kind of cool!"
Girl: "Thanks."
The grindset is a contemporary ideology of self-exploitation disguised as strength, deeply tied to the aesthetics of the “sigma male” and to new digital forms of patriarchy. It promotes the idea that human worth depends on productivity, economic success, absolute emotional control, and the ability to work endlessly, turning vulnerability, rest, community, and tenderness into signs of weakness. Beneath its rhetoric of discipline and power often lies a profound inability to relate healthily to pain, fragility, and human interdependence.
“That’s the grindset, brother. While weak men sleep and complain, sigma males stay disciplined, work in silence, suppress emotions, and build power while everyone else wastes time chasing comfort.”
