It originated from the episode 08 in season 22 "Buddha Box", where Eric Cartman goes to the doctor, and is diagnosed with anxiety. Cartman thinks he's a special snowflake and proceeds to deepen himself on Buddhism, thus creating an alternate meaning to the word namaste.
