Mockascending
A combination of mockery and condescending. Can be used in some situations to describe someone in a position of power who may communicates with certain manersims or has a type of voice that makes it easy for others to question their sincerity and hard for others to determine if they aren’t being made fun of or spoken down to.
“I think my boss is fine but I can’t make out if they’re being genuine sometimes.”
“What do you mean?”
“Like sometimes she’ll say ‘You are SO important’ or ‘We would be SO lost without you’ and I can’t decide if she’s being mockascending or if thats unfortunately her real voice.”
