to call a friend out on what he/she is going to sarcastically respond before they are able to do so.

Like the term famously known as 'cock block,' a 'mock block' brings a friend down, and he/she is not able to make a crappy comment because they have already been called out.

Being unable to ridicule a friend, because the thing they are being ridiculed for is so extreme or embarrassing.

Friend 1: Hahaha did you hear that Bob shit himself and had to go home early from the cinema's yesterday? Can't wait to take the mick out of him!

Friend 2: Dude, you can't say that to him it's way to embarrassing!
