Mandalorian effect

The Mandalorian Effect is a psychological phenomenon and internet subculture wherein an individual or group of individuals actively witnesses a real-world change, correction, or historical shift, but collectively decides to ignore it in favor of their preferred reality.

Unlike the Mandela Effect—where people genuinely misremember a past event—subjects experiencing the Mandalorian Effect are fully aware of the objective truth but choose to override it, frequently citing the dogmatic justification: "This is the Way."

Despite the official documentation clearly stating that the server management console had been permanently relocated, the lead developer insisted on clicking the empty space where the icon used to reside, effectively demonstrating The Mandalorian Effect by acknowledging the update but refusing to accept it, firmly maintaining that, for his workflow, "This is the Way."
