A deluded creature, normally seen in red, originating from Merseyside. They are known to smell, shag their own Mothers and luckily gain access to European Competitions. Kopites are known as Gobshites. A Kopite. In direct contrast with the Mighty Blues, Everton.

A person usually from anywhere but Liverpool i.e. Norway, who supports Liverpool only when they are winning stuff(e.g. the champions league). They are seen to be swinging a shitty scarf over their head, singing a shitty song in a language they dont know, and have a lot of badges pinned to them.
There is Bjorn, he has supported Liverpool all his life....well since may 2005. He has his scarf on again, whats that he is singing? sounds like another language to me. He's a kopite.

One who lacks the imagination to support their own local football club, and so jumps on the bandwagon of supporting whatever spawny team that happens to be winning trophies at the time - i.e. Liverpool FC. Would never go near a real life football match - prefers to watch on Sky TV, whom as we all know, invented the sport in 1993.
'Now let me see. I come from Cornwall, I'm good at shitting in my hand and throwing it at people, my cousins in Norway and Devon like this lot, and I'm looking for a football team that have the entry rules for competitions changed simply to allow us to enter. I know, I'll become a Kopite. Eh, the Kop? What's that, never heared of it'

The term kopite originally referred to regular matchgoers who stood on the Spion Kop (better known as Kop) stand in Anfield, the home stadium of Liverpool F.C., the most successful football club in England. Today, the term has evolved to become a sobriquet for fans of Liverpool F.C.
Anfield's reputation as one of the most hallowed grounds in sport owes no small part to the singing kopites on the Kop stand.
