The term house league is slang for hockey players. Used when referring to a bad play or bad move in hockey.

A house league hero is someone who single handily carries the team on his/her own. They are able to do everything themselves and produce at amazing rates.
Skates from one zone through every player, hits a guy, gets the puck back, puts it between his/her legs and scores top shelf. This is the uddermost defineable example of a house league hero.
