A style of dress popularized in Delaware County Pennsylvania. Scholars have long argued over the precise date of the creation of the Delco Tuxedo, but most maintain that it originated on Sunday, January 27th, 2002 at the St. Laurence 8:30 am mass. With the Philadelphia Eagles playing in their first NFC championship game since 1981, thousands of Delco's sons piled into alters throughout the county, in hopes that keeping holy the Sabbath would propel the Eagles to a victory. Since the Eagles were playing an away game, mass attendance rates were significantly higher than was normal. Congregations throughout the county were noted as being "smellier, greener, and scummier than normal" by then Cardinal, Anthony Bevilacqua.
Auxiliary Bishop Joseph McFadden, who presided over the 9:30 AM mass at Holy Cross in Springfield noted: "Never in my life have I seen so many Brian Dawkins jerseys atop gray Dan Algeo Cardinal O'Hara Football Hoodies and loose fitting denim jeans. And while not every member of the congregation was wearing a Dawkins jersey, every adult male had Timberland Boots adorning his feet."

An honorable accomplishment children throughout Delaware County strive for. The delco triple crown involves 3 stages. The first is winning a region 25 championship (preferably in football, basketball or baseball--track and field is not really a sport, more along the lines of a way to practice exercise).
The second step in the Crown is two pronged-one must first survive the delco minute by choosing not to become a j crew catholic, and then winning a Philadelphia Catholic League Title at one of the Catholic High Schools in Delaware County.
If one successfully completes the first two legs in the race for the crown, he is eligible to attempt the final part in his pursuit of the crown. This phase is two fold as well-first, the potential winner must gain admission to a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) College or University. If the candidate is accepted, and enrolls, he or she must then win a PSAC league championship.
Winning a title at all 3 of these levels is extremely difficult and competitive, and an admirable feat.

When a Caucasian girl or girls between the ages of 11 and 19 wearing flips flops, softee shorts, and a top that reveals a lot of cleavage, walk the streets by themselves or with friends during all hours of the days and night in Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
