Daphne Loves Derby

The most awesome band in the WORLD with the most awesome lyrics.
There's nothing I can do to draw you close to me.
Can you take this silence like a pill so I can breathe again?
I've been trying to ignore the best parts of you.
I'm still hoping that I'll be with you somehow.
Please be home tonight.
I'll die if I don't get a chance to make this just right.
I'm sorry but I can't forget about the way I feel every time you're here.
What would it take for me to be with you?
I swear I'd rip my heart out if you said you'd be impressed.
Please be impressed.
I'd go so far to please you but I bet you wouldn't care at all.
Hopeless love, please leave me.
This broken heart is far to weak to run for you this long.
Why don't you care at all?
I'm dying for a place in your heart.

Daphne Loves Derby

A freaking awesome band from the state of Washington.
Like OMFG, I went to a Daphne Loves Derby concert last night and I was screaming "I fucking love you" the whole time.
Fogey/fogy /fougi/ sl. (early 18C+, orig. Scot) old-fashioned, stuck-in-the mud.
Person with old fashioned ideas which he is unwilling to change: Come to the disco and stop being such an old fogey!
You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. Penguin Books,1992. p. 38)

That dude’s such a pitpig, I have to wear deodorant to keep him at bay.

church hurt

church hurt is where you experience a degree of distance, pain, or judgement from your church community. Essentially, you are just unable to “find your place”. This is prevalent in the Christian community, but can be extended to other religions.
Now that I am an adult I am beginning to heal from the church hurt that was inflicted on me as a child.
