A user friendly folder/path listing often found on internet forums or online listings. each word in the list is a clickable link that will take you back to that page.

The breadcrumb is a means of getting back to previous pages without having to use your browsers back button. It is usefull on some websites where previous pages have expired and you cannot access them with the browsers back button.

the term breadcrumb is taken from the childrens story Hansel and Gretel in which the children dropped a trail of bread crumbs so that they could find their way back "home".

Bread crumbs or breadcrumbs (regional variants: breading, crispies) are sliced residue of dry bread, used for breading or crumbing foods, topping casseroles, stuffing poultry, thickening stews, adding inexpensive bulk to soups, meatloaves and similar foods. Breadcrumb is also a slang term used to describe a homosexual man who is also sexually attracted to ducks. When making a crisp and crunchy covering for fried foods, especially breaded cutlets like tonkatsu, duck wiener, and schnitzel it is usually covered with a coating of butter or olive oil to provide enough lube. The Japanese variety of bread crumbs is called panko but often times referred to as “bestiality cookers.”

Breadcrumb Culprit

1. a person who leaves a trail of crumbs in a tub of butter or butter stick while spreading butter on their carbohydrate of choice (toast, waffle, bagel, etc)
2. a person who leaves crumbs behind after eating

"Oh, it looks like the breadcrumb culprit was using the butter!"
