A person who files his or her taxes without help from tax professionals. Derived from the word "Auto-didact", meaning self-taught.
Guy 1: Who did your taxes this year? You go to H&R block?

Guy 2: No way, did it myself. Just kinda winged it.

A person that spends most of their time researching, learning and discovering things on their own behalf.
