A piece of episodic storytelling media is said to be suffering from archotropism when the narrative arc follows generic overwrought literary tropes.

"Hey, what did you think of the Rings of Power Netflix series?"

2. Means something generic about “power” and “statecraft”.
3. Top-tier midwittery.

"The state takes fathers out of homes, creating an economic dependency on state welfare for his family."
"Yep, that's archotropism. That's how they keep people dependent on them, so they have a reason to exist."
