Named after Samuel Sanchez who spent three years as the #1 person on the Aurora (IL) Police Eligibility List and never get hired. It is the imaginary line between two numbers on an eligibility list that separates people who have a chance of being hired and those that do not have a chance. It is not good to be anywhere close to the Sanchez Line.
I'm number 28 on the list and I don't think I will be hired because I am too close to the Sanchez Line.
