Late 90s- When 2pac and biggie,Jay -Z,Nas etc where dominating rap and were gangsta rappers there were rappers like Ma$e,Lauryn Hill,Busta rhymes etc doing non gangsta rap

Early 2000s- 50 cent and Jay-Z were the biggest gangsta rappers but Kanye West and Eminem were doing non gangsta rap

After the old school non gangsta rap and gangsta rap

Non-gangsta-rap has better lyrics then gangsta rap
