pull-a-rishi

To suddenly disappear and become unavailable from all forms of human communication right before and during a scheduled meeting/event thereby missing the meeting/call/event.

Mostly used in a work environment but can be adapted to casual settings.
Looks like Jacob once again pulled-a-rishi, I did remind him about the daily standup meeting.

It's so common of pat to pull-a-rishi from time to time, even when we have important meetings.

We should fire the developer for pulling-a-rishi, it only because of his exceptional work that we continue working with him.
