Contrary to popular belief, love isn't a feeling. Infatuation is a feeling, which is felt (if to a lesser degree) by three-year-olds and their sweethearts, high schoolers, middle-aged people, and senior citizens alike. Love, in my opinion, is a way of living one's life to better another's. If a person is truly in love, he will give freely of himself to make the other person, in whatever way, happier. It's making one's life so that EVERY ASPECT of that life is, in whatever way, working for the good of the other's. Total, total dedication. It's also allowing that person to give back those same actions selflessly. Love, when done correctly, doesn't directly benefit the person doing the loving; it's the reciprocation of love that makes everything worthwhile.
There are no good examples; to get a good idea of love, one must experience it. There is no other way.

Get the lovemug. There are alot of different kinds and levels of love, but basically it is caring more about someone than you do yourself.
Love is when someone says or does something, and it makes you realise they care as much as you do.
It can be feeling you get unexpectedly and will recognize instantly or it can be something that grows over time.

Get the lovemug. When people decide their life is now less important than another person or people, The problem being, since they are more important than your life, than when they leave, they take everything else that's important. I feel deep.

Get the lovemug. love is a feeling you get when you think of the one person that's just so perfect for you. when you know that they're someone who you'd do anything for. when you're willing to put up with their flaws because to you, their flaws are just one more part of them that you love. love is finding the person that has the ability to make you more happy than you've ever been, or more upset than you've ever wanted to be. love is trust in that person that they'll make you happy, and that the happy times are worth the sad times.
