Someone who's involved in politics through financial or through an office. Someone who doesn't even vote isn't politically active.
Apathetic is the opposite of politically active, so calling somebody who doesn't vote politically active and apathetic is like calling a house cheap and expensive.

A person with extremely strong political views who shoehorns said views into whatever post they see.
A political whore will find some way to insult Biden or Trump (depending on their views) on every single post they see, even if it's something that can't even be remotely misconstrued or interpreted as being political in any feasible way.

An expression used to describe all of the pointless fighting and bickering that tends to happen in the government over various policy issues, the effectiveness and credibility of political leaders, how important and or valid certain beliefs and values are, etc. While it does occur in all levels of the government, it happens most frequently on the state and federal levels. Political correctness is basically the reason why half of all jokes are "oFfEnSiVe" or something. I couldn't care less if you called me a pig (I'm a cop after all) but some 14 year old white girl on Twitter will get offended for me. Actually, that won't happen because political correctness has single-handedly caused cops to he hated on Twitter. People who follow political correctness also tend to be racist towards white people for whatever reason.

"Hey, did you know that Jessica follows political correctness now?"
"Yeah, didn't she cancel someone for being white?"
"Yup"

A person who hasn't been near a church since their Christening and knows bugger all about Christian beliefs but due to their right wing political leanings defines themselves as Christian.
Often as an attempt to justify religious bigotry e. g. "I don't want no moozlims bringing their Shania law to this country. I'm a Christian this is a Christian county"

" Jeff thinks pancake day is a celebration of how tasty pancakes are and doesn't even go to church at Christmas but he's racist so naturally he's a political Christian."

1. A government employee whose job is not viewed to be particularly important by most of the people who don’t work for the government that run into them, but their role plays an important function in keeping the government running efficiently and effectively. Usually, their employer or the individual/s who run the department or agency, because of their position in the government, work in the public spotlight, while political shadows tend to work more in the background, or in other words in the shadows, where they are seldom noticed by the general public. Often times these people either work in jobs where they don't deal with people that often, or they work in jobs where they deal with people frequently, but their role is frequently viewed as being less important than the role held by their employer.
2. The political impact an individual or group has on the world around them

1. Dave is a political shadow. He is a policy analysist who works for the U.S. Representative Aderholt. Most of the people who encounter him don't think his role is anywhere near as important as the role his employer has in the U.S. Government; yet without Dave, the policies would not be written that well and may not be as effective in achieving what the law was intended to do. Hence, he plays a very important role in ensuring the government operates in an effective manner.
2: Alexandra has a large political shadow because of the large number of Black Lives Matter protests and women's marches she has attended over the past four to five years; along with the numerous times she has lobbied political officials on various issues related to gender equality, gun control, racial justice, education, and the Covid-19. She has a very large political impact on the world around her.
