Not necessarily unintelligent, just morally lazy and intellectually passive. They don’t question lies, they repeat them. Challenging or questioning their beliefs is often met with ridicule or judgment, because they can’t defend their views with reason, only emotion. They’re not evil, but they make evil possible.
