professional day

A "professional day" is a term used in often in Consulting and on Wall Street to suggest the worker will not be working a traditional 9 to 5 job, but will rather be working 8 to 6, 8 to 8, 7 to 7, 8 to 11, or worse. Outright saying that the individual will be working 10 to 18 hours a day would be illegal in many circumstances, so the term "professional day" is used to convey such a situation during employment interviews

employee: (leaving the office ~7pm)
boss: where are you going?
employee: (cautiously) home
boss: (indignantly) we work a Professional Day here, get this work done

Basically an extension of the Rolling out the floor laughing. Since people type rofl a lot when funny things happen usually in video games. Typing Profl is appropriate when you've made a very skilled move in a video game that resulted you owning a few opponents and barely surviving.

not for monetary gain...but for public service. However, does allocate small funds (through fundraising) to help worthwhile causes. Does not exlude members of the public.

The student sold magazines, to allocate funds for their non-profit school.

Some people create certain non-profit 'labels' to promote awareness for worthwhile causes, that benefit society as a whole.

someone who continuously checks profiles while on aim, even if they don't im the person. may be used as a noun or verb.

(noun) That girl is such a profile whore, she keeps checking everyone's profile.

Erica: i was profile whore-ing around earlier and i saw it on cindy's profile.
