do the honours

A term coined by @saucydocs on their hot sauce based instagram. 'Doing the honours' refers to the act of licking the spoon that has just been used to serve the hot sauce at the end of the meal. Thereby declaring that the meal is over and/or that if anyone wants more hot sauce, they will need a new spoon.
"Me and the boys were getting saucy last night but then David's girlfriend came in so we all watched while she did the honours."

"Jane doesn't usually like hot sauce but when we said to her "do the honours", she was persuaded. On reflection, she enjoyed the experience overall"
