2) the true ugliness of his car was the plastic happy face with the cowboy hat on the end of the antenna (but he couldn't be bothered to remove it)

if someone calls you this it is not true. God made us all in a different way you don't have to change yourself because someone doesn't find you appealing to the eye. There are still 7 billion other people in the world just because one person calls you this dont think thats what everybody else thinks.
