Seattle Sounders FC

An American MLS soccer team in Seattle, Washington. The original USL team was founded in 1974, and they joined the MLS in 2009 as an expansion team. They average 40,000+ fans per game which is one of the highest attendance records in MLS. They have yet to miss the playoffs and set the record for the most consecutive MLS wins in history. As of 2019, they have won two MLS Cups (2016 & 2019), four Lamar Hunts US Open Cups, one Supporter's Shield, and three Western Conference Championships. They are also currently tied for the most Cascadia Cups with the Vancouver Whitecaps. Their two biggest rivals are Vancouver and the Portland Timbers who are far less accomplished than the Sounders.

Seattle Sun Guilt Syndrome

A condition that occurs around the first sunny week of spring in seattle after 5-6 months of darkness and rain. This syndrome forces a person to be burdened with guilt and shame if they do not spend every waking hour outside when the sun is also out and the weather is “nice.” The condition may last through summer, but is typically most intense during late spring.

I think I have Seattle Sun Guilt Syndrome (SSGS); I tried to watch a TV episode tonight, but the sun was still out and I felt horrible, so instead I just laid on my couch staring at a blank TV paralyzed by the shame I have developed from this horrible syndrome, i should be hiking but instead I am a failure to the Pacific Northwest.

Seattle Seahawks

Created as an expansion team in 1976, the Seahawks put up decent numbers in the 1980s with 5 playoff berths under long time quarterback Dave Krieg. However, the team struggled for many years during the 1990s. After a division crown in 1988, they failed to make the playoffs again until 1999. In recent years, the team has been much better with 3 straight playoff berths and an amazing offense. This past season in 2005, the team made the Super Bowl for the first time. However, they ended up on the losing end of the game, as the Steelers took the championship.

Seattle

Seattle has it's ups and downs.

Washington is a beautiful place and Seattle can be wonderful. There is so much to do there. It's home of the Pike Place Market, the Seattle Mariners, and Starbucks. Seattle is near so much. You have the mountains for snowboarding/skiing/hiking. You have the water for boating/swimming. You have everything you need in Seattle/Washington.

The only problems are that Seattle has horrible traffic and it rains a lot. (Although, personally, I don't think the weather is THAT bad year-round.. and I live there.)
