adelepocalypse

The fact that every time Adele puts an album out, it blows the rest of the music industry away and outsolds every other artists’ albums that went out the same year. This term also refers to the phenomenon of Adele receiving all the awards she is nominated for, leaving no chance for all the other artists. An adelepocalypse is also the period of time after the release of a single or an album by Adele, or even just an announcement, when everyone on social medias completely freak out and start panicking because her songs are so incredible they all should be a different country’s national anthem.

Oh my god I can feel an adelepocalypse coming, she has just announced a new album on Twitter !
Yesterday there was another adelepocalypse on Instagram after Adele posted that photo of her, it got over 10 million likes in a few hours !
This year’s Grammy Awards will be blown by the adelepocalypse for sure, she’s gonna win everything as usual.
Taylor Swift’s last album is so good, but she has no chance to win Album Of The Year with the adelepocalypse coming.

Afeleism

A bastardised version of a common English saying. Often mistaken as "words from a Tongan woman's mouth", but actually "words from a Samoan woman's mouth". Often used in Chemistry and shows signs of delayed responses, shortened vowel sounds and "aeh?" to make sure people understand what you are saying, which they never do regardless of you saying "aeh?"

Originated in Mt Roskill Grammar School, named after the Samoan chemistry teacher Mrs Afele.
