the hoot is the term used for communicating with others in the drug culture."listen for the hoot" means to listen for what drugs are on the market. usually the hoot takes place in bigger areas, where people come to find/ sell drugs. pharmies, choclates, headies and balloons.

hate hoot

To verbally hoot at someone whilst pointing. Used to jeeringly mock and belittle someone. The origins of this practice stem from the Shelbyville folk in an episode of the Simpsons (GABF08 - The Seven Beer Snitch) who mock Springfield folk by hooting at them.

One foosball team beats another and rightly gives the hate hoot: "Hoot hoot hoot hoot!"

Other team: "Man we suck"

A fictional owl-like being inadvertently created when an older gentleman from a northern Scandinavian country saw Star Wars and then proceeded to discuss the Jabba the Hut character with their heavy Scandinavian accent.

Oh yes, I’ve heard of him over the years and I think that Java the Hoot may be an outsized owl all amped on strong coffee but I don’t have a clue what he looks like!
