When, during a disagreement, someone makes a careless mistake (such as a mispronunciation or misspelling) and the other person uses the mistake as an argument against them.

Person one: Ew, Britney Spears.
Person two: No! Ew, the Jonez brothers.
Person one: HAH! You've created a helinski situation, so I'm right!!

A situation in which failure is the only option available.
There are no other moves left. You just have exhausted every other possible option and the chances of a plan actually working after a check mate situation are zero to none.

Steve: I have to read 60 pages/write a 20 page thesis that's due in an hour and I haven't started. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?

Friend: I don't know what to tell you- sounds like a check mate situation to me.

Shituational Awareness

Shituational Awareness is awareness of your environment whilst taking a dump, or pitching a loaf. Poor shituational awareness can lead to lack of toilet paper, or coming face to face with a former dumpee's turd. Can also lead to entering a toilet with a broken lock.

"Dude, have some shituational awareness about you when you pitch a loaf, the paper has run out!"
