The act of redrawing or state of a character in a more cartoonish or "happier" looking style than their original design. (Usually an intimidating/scary looking character turned into something more akin to a friendly mascot)

Expression to describe the dedication shown by someone who is amazingly sentimental with their passion to "one,-up" an opponent, who may or may not actually be concerned with the ability of the former.
