Slam Jams

A collection of songs, usually an iTunes or iPod playlist for the sole purpose of "setting the mood" before and during makeout/sex sessions.

Slam Jams, which are particularly popular in college dorm life (to drown out noise for eavesdropping roommates), are usually comprised of an ensemble of smooth R&B tracks, including artists such as R. Kelly, Bone Thugs n' Harmony, and John Legend, to name just a few. However, many have adopted acoustic indie rock (ie. Pete Yorn, Nick Drake, Elliot Smith), 80's (The Cure, Cyndi Lauper, Foreigner), and electronic music (Tiesto, Kaskade, Robbie Rivera) as their Slam Jams of choice.

Regardless, it is always recommended to have at least 3 solid hours of Slam Jams ready BEFORE you bring your mate back to your place of residence.

I couldn't sleep at all last night! I woke up at 4 o' clock in the fucking morning to R Kelly - Bump N Grind coming through the goddamn walls! Can Maurice get some new fuckin Slam Jams already?
