Usually the title is conferred after the event. Eager (and brave) participants can establish a night out on the basis that it will become a loose-off

Throughout the 1960s, among hippies, this was an alternative phrase to "kill the pig" where pig referred to the police. "Off the pig" was an almost Zen like chant meaning to kill the "pig" or hatred within one's self.
