Sitting in Business

The opposite of standing in business. To shit where you eat, so to speak. Instead of taking responsibility and stepping up to the plate, this word describes someone who shirks responsibility and, instead, sits in their own feces like an infant child.

Mortgage payment was due and my son was hungry so I had no choice but to Stand on Business. However, I’ve opted to sit in business (sitting in business), and the bank is coming in the morning to reposess our home.

A sit in

Term to describe staying in, with your friends and taking copious amount of ketta and or coke and talking shit. Everyone has on a novelty hat on, all wearing oversized tracksuits of the hosts… sitting on a couch and/or 10 people all on a bed. You do not leave the house, it’s a sit in. Get comfy.

“Dude let’s not go out tonight, let’s just get the crew over and we’ll have a sit in..”

“I just got new strobe lights for my room, let’s have a sit in!”

“I’m over going out, I’d rather just have a sit in with you lot”

Sit Arounds

To sit around a plate (with drugs on it - usually mdma or cocaine) in a group.

Similar to seshing, but usually with MDMA or Cocaine.

Often happens before going out.

Not to be confused with 'afters'.

We are just at 'sit arounds', come over.

I don't want to get stuck at 'sit arounds'. I want to go out.

Bahamian expression, originally derived from the admonition to persons using shared space, eg, on public transportation or a park bench, to not spread themselves, but extended to apply persons in politics, business etc to stick to what is within their knowledge or competence and avoid offering gratuitous advice

The former representative, who did little for public housing, should sit small and let those now in charge get on with their project
