When you do certain things in life that seem clever, cool and/or trendy but when looked back on later on, is extremely cringe, shameful and/or stupid

Commando Phase

The commando phase/commando era is when a person, usually after being in a scandal, ghosts their social media- this could mean deleting posts, removing profile pictures, or simply not being active. Most people go through a commando phase at least once in their lives before reinventing themselves.

Refers to how large hairy hominids are often wary and shy when trying out new things, and so they tend to hesitate and ponder all possible options before proceeding.

The great apes are naturally unfamiliar with human customs of interaction, so don't be offended or disappointed if a giant simian displays a "gorilla pause" before holding out its "gorilla paws" in greeting.
