People who fit this description are extremely interested in STEM, (allegedly) intellectually superior, elitist, overly hardworking, and have few personality traits beyond studying and sweating. In some circumstances, the word 'squid' may be used as praise. Generally, a squid will evolve through the following stages: baby squid--> calamari squid--> giant squid--> colossal squid--> kraken. The squid is also the official mascot of the math team and is used on all the merch.
