The Red Stick City

The Red Stick city or Baton Rouge dates from 1699, when French explorer Sieur d'Iberville leading an exploration party up the Mississippi River saw a reddish cypress pole festooned with bloody animals and fish that marked the boundary between the Houma indians and the Bayou Goula indian's tribal hunting grounds. They called the pole and its location "le bâton rouge", or red stick in the present day area of Southern University on the bluff of the Mississippi River. There is a monument commemorating the spot.

Sea Isle City, NJ

HEAVEN/ Sea Isle City- A cute family town by day, a party for teens and adults by night. Filled with chill police officers and lifeguards and known for its infamous promenade. Not nearly as populated as the surrounding towns of Ocean City and 7 Mile Island (Avalon and Stone Harbor) but is not far from their fun attractions. Sea Isle also has attractions of their own. There are various arcades on the promenade, the best being Island Breeze Casino, Pirate Island Mini Golf, and more places to get ice cream in the same four blocks than any other town. The beaches are beautiful and can accommodate large groups of people for summer fun. The waves are not very rough with a combination of small and bigger wave-perfect for everyone. There is plenty for adults to do at night with many bars very convienently located near eachother- always with live music. There are many places to eat all around the island some being expensive with gourmet food to pizza almost every five blocks or less downtown. There are many places to shop for clothes, games, and various other items. Sea Isle is a place of fun for family and friends, big or small, adventurous or relaxed. So “Smile, Your in Sea Isle”

Salt Lake City Layover

Captain Beerhound, a airline pilot, had a brief, unsatisfying hook-up with a flight attendant in the Delta Sky Club during a Salt Lake City Layover. He later learned that what he had experienced was"soaking," a custom quite popular among some religious folk in Ski City, USA.

ICF (Inter City Firm)

The best and arguably the hardest football firm ever in the history of the game. They are the firm of West Ham United. They rule the off pitch battles of football, such as against 'kiddie' firms like millwall, the 'yids' and the turks (kopties). They acclaimed the name Inter City Firm by the fact that they travelled to games using the Inter City Line. Recently, the film 'Green Street' was based around the ICF.
