An abbreviation for the word

‘Diabetic Ketoacidosis’. Mostly seen in Type 1 diabetics, Dka is a build up of acid in the bloodstream called ‘Ketones’.

Symptoms of ‘D.k.a’ are:

- Fruity Scent Breath
- Irritability

- Confusion
- Extreme Thirst

- Excessive Urination
- Loss Of appetite
- Extreme Weight loss

- Nausea

- Aching Stomach Pain
- Intense Loss Of Breath
- Unconsciousness

- Death

‘D.k.a’ is often caused by a lack of insulin injected or produced by the body. There is currently no cure and Millions of deaths occur every year
