help a brother out

This comes from story where two guys were having a threesome with a chick and one reached the desired result much more quickly than desired. Upon having having trouble erecting the flagpole for round 2 the 2nd guy decided he would "help a brother out" by blowing gently on his balls in an effort to re-stimulate his friend (I have no idea how this would help at all).
