A person that loves anime and spends all his time watching anime to escape the cruel thing called the reality. These people are usually very quiet, shy and unsocial, avoiding people as much as possible and most likely have great personality and intelligence on the inside. Also they don't care what people say or think. So if you know some like this, Accept them as who they are and because they are usually good people.

Japanimation, or the Japanese term for animation, whichever you prefer. Yes, not all Anime is good and it's not for everyone. The people who are bashing it either have not seen it or they saw the shit that Cartoon Network airs. That's why I don't watch it (Cartoon Network) anymore. I don't know many people who obsess over it so bad they talk about it 24/7. I sure as hell don't talk about it all the time like some others probably would. There is some good Japanese animation out there, like Cowboy Bebop, Serial Experiments Lain and GTO and most of it is cliche`d and such. I like Manga better anyway because its cheaper and the story is more detailed.
The people here that slam Anime are just dumbasses/bullies who are pissed off at the world and have nothing else better to do than to slam what other people like. At least I have a job, jerkoffs.

Anime genre that revolves around female characters who often have very little personality or memorable characteristics besides being supposedly "cute" (even though most of them are pretty much clones of each other.) You can often tell what their one or two - or if you're lucky, three personality traits are by looking at their hair colours, or sometimes their bodies. For example, the girl with the huge titties will often be put at the butt of every joke.
This genre is typically aimed towards 40 year old men who live in their grandma's basement, have moobs that sag into their greasy slacks and never shower. Some of them even poo in socks instead of getting up to use a proper bathroom. These men are said to give off a unique odour of eggy farts and fecal matter, which repels any living woman - or person from wanting to even look at them, so anime are their go-to substitute for human interaction because apparently it's too hard to get up, take a shower and go outside to get some real human interaction.
The creators of these anime are clever and know very well that they can reuse the same cookie cutter tropes and characters over and over, and still manage to lure in these stinky suckers and make lots of money every time via copy-paste merch and body pillows. Ingenious!
Though it is to be noted that there ARE plenty of normal, hygenic and decent people who may find themselves watching these shows sometimes, but they are not typically part of the main demographic.

a lot of people say that fans of anime or manga are well....freaks....and yes, some of them are, once i saw this comment on a anime video and it was some really, really, really sad person arguing with someone (getting really aggressive) because someone claimed a character they are "going out with".
its really sad and embaressing for the rest of us who find anime interesting and arent obsessed with japan or manga(which i never read because i hate reading that sort of thing) and because of that crazy obessed stalker, everyone else is labelled.
a lot of my friends who do watch anime -including myself- only watch it because they remember it from their childhood (e.g. naruto which was played on cartoon network)
