short for Call of Duty, a game series everyone thinks is going back to being good before the new game launches, then they play it and say it's garbage for any reason they can think of.

Person 1: "Bro, have you seen the new COD trailer?"

Person 2: "Yeah, it looks amazing. Better than Modern Warfare."

*A week after the game launches.*

Person 1: "This game is ass bro."

Person 2: "I know, SBMM is kicking my ass. I want Modern Warfare back."
