woodshed

To practice one's instrument. It is a term that comes from jazz culture. It originated from drumset practice due to the fact that drum sticks, after hours of playing, start to flake off small bits of wood (usually covering the floor around the drumset). This is reffered to as woodshedding. Although it originated as a drumming term, it is commonly used for any instrument. A shortened form of the word is shedding. Also, people generally refer to a place of practice as a woodshed or a shed.

Roy sound great. He's been woodsheddin' lately.

I sound like shit. I gotta hit the shed.

This gig coming up is pretty tough. I'd have to shed my parts.

The Big Whoops

Meaning: Intentionally having sex with a woman (unprotected) and ejaculating inside her with the intention of getting her pregnant. Hence, getting a woman pregnant to get stuck with that person.

The term is based on the exclamation of the moment of conception, acting oblivious by going "Whoops!" upon ejaculation.

Side Note: Helps if she is pro-life too.

If I came across a girl outside my league, I'd have to give her 'The Big Whoops'. Then she'd be stuck with me whether she likes it or not! I'd be like 'Oh yeah, girl -- Whoops!'

Whoopsie Daisies

An antiquated expression generally meaning "oops" or "whoops". This is used almost exclusively by nerds and gay men, especially when executing a clumsy or cloddish movement such as falling over a chair or slipping on an icy walkway.

While clumsily attempting to ice skate a real tool slips and falls, and when his butt contacts with the ice he yells out "whoopsie daisies!"
